Privacy

Privacy notice for TradesMen.dev.

This page describes how the TradesMen.dev marketing website handles information. Individual ecosystem apps may have their own privacy notices that apply when you use them.

What this site collects

The TradesMen.dev marketing site is designed to be lightweight. It does not require a database for routine browsing and does not track visitors across the web. We use a standard PHP session cookie to support security features like CSRF protection on the contact form.

Contact form

When you submit the contact form, we collect what you send us — your name, email address, optional company, the request type and topic you choose, and your message — together with limited request metadata already handled by the site: the time of submission, your IP address, and your browser user-agent string.

Each submission is handled two ways for reliability. First, it is written to a protected server-side record (outside the public web root) so we keep a durable copy for audit and so no message is lost if email is briefly unavailable. Second, it is delivered to our support mailbox over authenticated, encrypted email (SMTP with STARTTLS). We use this information only to answer and route your inquiry and to protect the form from abuse, and we do not share it with third parties.

If email is temporarily unavailable, your message is safely queued on the server and delivered automatically on a later retry. If we genuinely can’t accept your message, the form shows a clear error rather than silently failing.

Logs

The server hosting TradesMen.dev may keep standard web-server logs for operational and security purposes. These logs may include IP addresses, requested URLs, response codes, timestamps, and user-agent strings.

Cookies

The site uses a single session cookie (name: tmsess) for CSRF protection and basic session state. This cookie is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax.

Ecosystem apps

The webapps in the published directory each operate as a focused product. They may have their own privacy policies that apply when you sign up or use them. Where relevant, those notices take precedence over this one for activity inside those apps.
